Day 663
67 days to two years
11 cold showers
Really good point. The whole fucking thing is like being sucked into a vortex. Where did our manhood go, both literally and figuratively?
Keep going, mate.
Indeed
@GBS, it really is a vortex like being, porn that is. It brings literally nothing to us but short term pleasure (if even that) and long term pain.
We're a generation of men raised on porn.
That's right, man. We need to have some self-respect.
Yes
@Escapeandnevercomeback, we really do need a real sense of self-respect. I've always liked the metaphor in the Bible in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 about thinking of your body as a holy temple. If it really is holy, we wouldn't allow such shit to enter it; bad food, porn, etc. Self-respect goes a long way!
Next time someone wants to jerk off to some porn he should first do this thing: He should imagine being someone else and entering his own room, curtains down, dark, and seeing himself jerking off to some other guy fuckin the girl or salivating at 10 girls who don't even know he exists. Definitely not a good sight.
Good idea!
There is a reason why those terms like simp, beta and whatever the fuck else have been created to make fun of young men.
Yeah the whole beta to alpha categories I've never really been a fan of, however, the characteristics they are pointing to in our society I absolutely agree with. There is a whole slew of "beta attributes" that are a product of our modern world, and watching porn 24/7 is most definitely on the top of the list.
Take any badass dude you've found on Youtube who you listen to, get advice from etc. or some badass actor in history etcetera and imagine if a guy like that spends all night with his dick in his hands salivating at pictures with girls.
This is a good point, and something I've tried to do. Even my avatar of Clint Eastwood is thinking along those lines. His Blondie character has many "faults" but there's no way that guy would have ever been found wanking one in the saloon bathroom.
We need heroes to look up to, and we desperately need to start thinking of ourselves as "new men" and get rid of our old thought patterns, thus, avatars are another way to start thinking so. And since I'm from the West, it works for me.
I remember when I was in high school (so this means something like 2008), a classmate of mine was desperate, he used to go to some website that had a chat and he thought that all of the users he was talking to were girls. It turned out, they were guys making fun of other guys like him, at the end they would tell them: "You know, I kinda got bored but just so you know, I'm a guy haha."
Yep. No one wants to be that guy. However, the availability of porn and OnlyFans has turned us into that guy without even realizing it sometimes.
Best Escape!
Just think of what it will be like when the men sending the messages are eventually completely replaced by LLMs and users will be instead jerking off to chat bots & image generators churning out an automated stream of fake people & endless, addictive content
There are already some accounts doing this
It's crazy to think about
@Orbiter, but it's true, and you know it will happen real soon. I've been trying recently to get rid of all fantasies in my life, or at least, to acknowledge them, and I don't mean only sexual ones. We live in an age with everything instantly available and "easy". This is not good for us in the long term. Anything worthwhile takes time and effort, and I think it's good to look at our lives and see where else we're being deceived; our relationships, our jobs, our money management and overall health to name a few.
Best Orbiter!
You all have a great porn-free weekend.
