Almost at Saturday, king! Full respect for keeping yourself accountable, that's all part of the growth mindset. You're still the king of RN, don'y you worry about that. You got this brother
Thanks bother! I'm so excited. I'm almost there.Almost at Saturday, king! Full respect for keeping yourself accountable, that's all part of the growth mindset. You're still the king of RN, don'y you worry about that. You got this brother
Well, I do. I know we're all supposed to be easy on ourselves, self-care, etc, but ultimately it comes down to winning a battle. If I allow myself to stray from the path, it won't end well. My motto is still "no relapses, no retreat" and while that might seem rigid to some, it's certainly working for me.I don't think we take this battle seriously enough. Is this not life and death we're dealing with here?

Thanks everyone for all your encouragement. This forum is amazing. It feels great to be this far out again. Now, I have my sights set on day 30.
One day at a time.
You all have a great porn-free Saturday.
Things are moving man! 30 days is right there. It will definitely come but it can only be done one day at a time.Day 24!

Hey, totally agree, this forum is amazing. You know what... we'll never meet each other, never know each others names, never know what the others look like, but nevertheless there is a connection and whether it is giving a thumbs up or a encouraging post, we really are making a positive difference to each others lives.Day 24!

Yes I hear you there @TryingHarder. I definitely agree, you don't win battles (especially this one!) while staying in the safe-zone and telling yourself you're doing great and that all you need is "love". Love is good and we should all love ourselves, but LOVE doesn't get you to the top of Everest, hard work and training for years on end does.Well, I do. I know we're all supposed to be easy on ourselves, self-care, etc, but ultimately it comes down to winning a battle. If I allow myself to stray from the path, it won't end well. Thanks brother. Keep killing it.the cowboy is back on his horse, this is just the start

Hope you feel better soon.Day 26
Day 18 of no O
Thank you @Ezel. I'm getting close to that target, which means I need to be on my utmost guard. Life is truly better on this side of the fence. I was thinking about that these last few days. Life is alreadly dramatic enough with its ups and downs etc. but going back to porn these last few months, just ramps up that drama to unheard of levels. Drama in the bedroom. Drama in my mind. Drama in my day to day life. Lack of focus. Lack of pursuing my goals as I was doing beforehand. Just chaos in general. The question isn't what are the benefits of quitting porn, but rather, what are the positives to looking at porn? Looking at my life these last two months compared to my life these last two years, there isn't even ONE benefit to looking at porn. It's pure chaos.
Best brother
I'm feeling a little under the weather this weekend but still feeling strong. Also, it feels great to be almost 20 days no O. Even though I'm sick I'm feeling good in that department.
You all have a good porn-free Monday

Keep it up brother! The thing that I've found helps me stay away from porn is asking myself, what would life be like if I continued to fall into this temptation in 10 years?Day 26

Thank you sir, same to you.Never ever forget, you inspire. Past tense and present.
Yes yes it does. Thanks brother!I totally agree man, porn makes everything worse.
That's a great mindset, thank you @First_step_thousand_miles.The thing that I've found helps me stay away from porn is asking myself, what would life be like if I continued to fall into this temptation in 10 years?
That's a great quote, and yes, sometimes we need to hear the scary stuff, in fact, probably a lot more than we like.I remember this quote vividly from Gabe Deem: "Porn will never satisfy you, it will only lead you to a place where you can't satisfy anyone and it'll rob all the love and joy you could ever have in your heart." Scary stuff but sometimes exactly what we need to get better
Quitting porn is actually SUPER easy. I know because I've done it thousands of times! It's staying quit that I have been having trouble with!!!Day 28
Day 20 of no O
However, now that I'm feeling better we'll see if I can keep it up! I don't want to promise anything though because I hate breaking promises. Nevertheless, I do promise NO porn.
