Congrats man! I really am happy for you seeing your progress really gives me a boost of confidence! Stay strong!

Masturbation Experiment
Purpose: To see how much I have unwired, and see how my response to sexual stimuli has changed during reboot.
Hypothesis: If I have unwired completely, I will feel that it is easy to keep pornographic images out of my mind while MO'ing,
feel absolutely fantastic during orgasm, and have minimum Chaser Effect on the following days.
Procedure: 1. Attempt to MO with pure physical stimuli alone, with no porn or sexual imagination.
2. Take notes on the difficulty of keeping sexual images out of my mind,
the intensity of the orgasm, and the presence of Chaser Effect on the following days.
I gotta go, something just came up and gotta leave the house.
I would appreciate it if you guys can give me tips on this experiment.
See ya!
SETI said:That's how I would do the test. Personally, I added how long I will wait (at least) until my next test. I don't want to fall into any old habits by mistake.
Shaft said:Happy to hear you see the improvements. Yes, I agree with you on that whole mastrbation thing. I guess, it is a good thing to release that load once a week or once in two weeks or so. I would also recommend try to masturbate in different fashion than most of us used to do (jacking off all all over the body, then taking a tissue to clean everything up). I will personally try to do it in a shower or in a pose in which I would have a real intercourse with a girl. Habits make sense too.
SETI said:Good doing man! I also think "release" is good. I also think "not very often" should be in that statement somewhere...

Thanks SETI,
but I kinda disagree.
I think anywhere between 0.5~4 times/week would be fine,
given that one has successfully unwired porn from masturbation.
Especially for people who can't resort to natural methods of release,
such as sex or wet dreams (personally, neither is available to me).
Having said that, I think people without girlfriends/boyfriends
should approach reboot in a different angle
than those with gfs/bfs.

SETI said:What was the aim of your reboot? What was wrong that made you want to do it in the first place? Just curious. Sorry if you wrote it somewhere else in you journal.

Hey jkkk, that's something I never thought about before.
I now have a new appreciation for my power of confidence that I acquired from reboot
I should definitely go pick up girls while I can lol

I didn't have a super heavy addiction, so nothing was "wrong."
(started porn about 8~9 years ago, didn't let myself develop weird fetishes, barely had any ED,
MO'd about 5~6 times/week, long MO sessions)
My aim was to acquire the "superpowers" others claimed to get after reboot,
such as more social life, more confidence, less brain fog, more attraction to girls, etc.
Shaft said:And btw. I experienced ED for the first times I was having sex, that was zero porn influences. It was a bit influenced by anxiety, but mostly it was due to the fact that my Mr. Happy was used to my right hand and didn't know how to respond to a woman.
VforVictory said:Your point is that if you masturbate too much,
your brain gets wired so that you can get hard to your own hands, but not to real girls, right?
But isn't that what the whole re-wiring part is all about?
What I mean is, how would not masturbating help my brain get wired to get erection during real sex?
The frequency of masturbation won't change the fact that sex is going to be a completely new experience for my brain.
Wouldn't I go through the same experience in bed whether or not I masturbate?
I would love to hear what you and the others think about this.
SETI said:Well, there is only one way to find out. I think most guys first time at sex isn't very "good". We come too fast or don't get hard enough or whatever, but that is all part of the process. If there is a problem, you can deal with it. If there isn't. Happy times
