use DEADS to tackle urges and cravings.

D= delay 15 minutes
E = Escape the situation
A= accept craving, it is natural , it comes and go.
D = dispute , if you indulge you will harm yourself, if woi n't indulge, you will be more stronger
S = Substitute , substitute with some kind of positive activity , sleep , walk , music and so on.
That is a powerful tool there mtaha, the E, A and S have been very helpful for me. Would you please explain to me the delay and dispute bits.

D=Delay
once hit by craving / urges, just delay prolong the porn viewing in case of porn addiction.
just tell your brain , that I would watch porn after 15 minutes. set a clock alarm.
then move to the next step, escape the situation.

D = Dispute

it is a thought process.
you have to think the consequences of indulging in porn and not indulging in porn.

if you indulge in porn , you will harm yourself off course.
if you won't indulge in porn , you will be more stronger off course.

you have to tell your brain , the consequences.

Delay = Delay the porn viewing for 15 minutes
Escape = Escape the surrounding/situation which can lead you towards porn
Accept = Accept the craving and let it go. every craving has to die after some time. it is natural. let it come and let it go.
Dispute = think about the consequences of indulging and not indulging in porn
Substitute = replace porn activity with some thing positive, go to walk, get outside of your home , sleep , walk , music and so on.

DEADS = delay,escape,accept,dispute,substitute

craving must die after DEADS , if it is still there, you might not be doing with concentration.
do it again and again.

it always works.

practice makes perfect.

2 hours to 2 months,
I feel more in the real world, with responsibilities. No brain fog for a long time, no tiredness anymore, I don't feel like going to the net and seeing anyone nude.  My confidence is very back. Hope my next few months be even better.

Excellent work igetum, I am proud! I hope two months from now I will be joining you on the other side. Real responsibilities are always there, but now you have the power to deal with them and grow as a person.

I have never made it to where you are but I know that confidence, in my ability to abstain from P, was part of my downfall after 33 days clean. Confidence in general is awesome. But keep an ever watchful eye on the tricky beast which is this addiction. I have every bit of faith that you will continue to succeed but I felt it good to mention this as it was one of my relapse observations.

Keep on rocking!

Thanks thailandexpress2112 I agree with you, confidence in our ability to cut pmo is not always. very good. I personally nearly relapsed due to it. Am glad though I have the confidence to initiate things, have eye contact while speaking to people, start conversations with ladies. I once thought I could never do that.

It's good to hear from your experiences.

I'm also having upper limb pain during the day, sometimes It feels like I'm suffocating. I usually return home just to PMO and the pain goes away.

As I'm just starting my reboot process, I would like to know if what you were experiencing is the same. If yes, how did you deal with it?

Hi AmeanMachine,
Glad you dropped by and checked my story. When I had some intense pain about a month and a half ago, I applied some pain relief balm and took naps(as I also had intense feeling to sleep during the day). I was actually very prepared in case the pains came see I had read about it in one of williams posts here http://legacy.rebootnation.org/index.php?topic=1256.0 . As he explains, you must learn to embrace the pain, the emotional changes, and other feelings and collect tools that will help you fight them. I also did some light breathing meditation, and though they were short, they were really good. Please do not use PMO to calm the effect, this is one of the 3 fatal mistakes rebooters make read here  http://yourbrainonporn.com/rebooting-advice-observations . Also try this from the link above my thoughts about reboooting[extremely long post], 1 year+ on; a simple tip which will guarantee success, 45 Lies Your Mind Uses to Keep You Addicted, 90 Days in 9 Years - A clear mind, stronger focus, increased social relationships, increased happiness, better understanding of myself. If you haven't read about the basics of rebooting please do, as the more you learn how PMO affects your brain, the better you become at fighting it.

Yes.
it is battle of mind.
self control is required.
once you start getting more green tick marks than red ticks constantly. your brain starts to reboot.
it is not the number of days you are porn free, it is about the state of mind.
after beating PMO, you mind doesn't need porn. and porn cravings start to decrease with time.

With time it becomes more and more easy.

Thanks for your interest.
This is where you can know about my story.

It's a bit long for an introduction, I took care to express my PMO history just the way I see it.

64,
Had Insomnia, followed by a whole day of foggy mind. One thing I have learnt about a day is that the more you plan for it in advance the better you will use it.
