Rebooting trough self-parenting

Onwards and upwards my friends.

Day 11 of August. So far smooth sailing.

Ironically so far didn't get triggered the most via pixels but real life. I was standing in line to get some street food. There was a couple in front of me. I noticed the girls grabbing her BFs ass quite a lot. Maybe she was being a bit horny. As I got a bit aroused and triggered by this.

But anyway. Holding space FTW.

Wishing everyone well.

A few days until half way trough August.

There is always a choice to be better.

Was looking for porn timeline.

my body feels like made of jelly. When I am walking down the stairs feel like the legs will almost not support my weight and are made of jello. I'll take this as a sign of progress.

While we are each unique, this said, we are more similar than dissimilar. So I am hoping this withdrawal symptoms, brain fog, jelly body will take up to 3 months and not more. But if it takes more so be it.

In terms of dealing with long term chronic issues, the unit of measure in my view is a month. Looking forward to make August P free month.

Looking forward to see what is on the other side. P has been a constant for such a long time don't really have any expectations what is there besides P. It is what it is. I find it easier to live if I have little expectations, the world can surprise me in a positive way more easily this way.

So far more or less smooth sailing. I levelled up in my meditation work. With less trauma to trigger me, and simplifying my life. I have easier time raising my awareness to a point P looks like a bad decision. But talk is cheap. Walk the walk.

Onwards and upwards.

2/3 trough August. So far soo good.

Looking into supplements, if they might make the withdrawal more pleasant. The brain fog and muscle fatigue. Searching the web for various recommendations. Came across this guy:

curious that he takes stuff for testosterone specifically. For sleep and cognitive functions I expected that but not for testosterone. Anyway. I think best I don't go overboard and try introducing some stuff slowly.

Got triggered by a fashion ad. It was a test. I passed.

On related note. This is why peeking doesn't work. If we try to peek it means our brains evaluated P as something worthwhile.

It wasn't hard but it wasn't easy at the same time to evaluate this fashion ad and triggers associated as something that not only does no add value to my life, it subtracts value from my life. Robbing me of joy and fulfilment.

They say you need to live in the now moment. There is truth in this. But I sure wouldn't mind just fast forward my life for 6 months or a year.

Got a case of the brain fog. I feel like sleeping a lot.

Ordered a bunch of supplements. Looking forward to experiment with them. On the paper they should help. Especially the nootropics. Looking forward to try citicoline.

Also will experiment with B1 vitamin. It sparked my interest to see that B1 is prescribed by doctors to people who are going to stop drinking alcohol. It is suppose to help with alcohol withdrawals. A lot of B complex supplements I see have very low spectrum B vitamins, usually just B-6 and B-12. There is a whole range of B vitamins including, B-8 and B-4 and so on. I avoid going with B vitamins because I feel like I have plenty of B6 and especially B12 form my diet already. B1 and B8 (Inositol) sparked my interest so I ordered them specifically. Although it is written that B8 is not a vitamin but a type of sugar. Anyway....

Onwards and upwards.

I recognize some subconscious patterns in my dreams. Stagnated emotions from the past memories. Obviously also P in the dreams. It will get processed.

Speaking from experience: this is a slippery slope. So many people these days look for answers/relief in a supplement or a "magic" pill that they hope will make things better. That's not to say none of them work, but I've read threads on this forum where guys are doing supplements, Viagra, etc and just sound confused. In my experience, good mental health (that helps beat a porn addiction) comes down to three basic things: get regular exercise, eat well, and get a good night's sleep. Good luck with your supplement experiments, though.

@TryingHarder I hear you man. Not looking for a magic bullet. Just curios to see if brain fog and muscle and general fatigue can be mitigated a bit by supplements targeting the brain function.

First thing he mentions is sleep and cardio exercise. Then the first supplement he mentions is Omega 3...

Anyway, will see how it goes. Will listen to the full thing on my drive to work.

Onwards and upwards brothers.

B12 seems to work for me. Helps with mental health and also provides a bit of energy each day.
Great to hear that.

I watched a bit of

it looks like the basis for the guy is AG1 - a full on "kitchen sink" supplement and then he builds on top of that. Granted there is a little of conflict of interest as he now is a consultant at AG1. But the first thing he mentions is prebiotics, probiotics and digestive enzymes. Interesting.

I started to experiment with magnesium before bed. On the days that I take it. I can say I do sleep better. My sleep is somewhat "deeper". The form of Magnesium that is recommended hasn't arrived yet. So I am using another form of magnesium that is not the most effective for sleep but it looks to have an effect non-the-less. Looking forward to try the full on sleep formula. In particular looking forward to Inositol.

I also started to take magnesium before bed after listening to this podcast. For me, the biggest challenge to my sleep is my work stress, so the results for me is mixed.
